Power cuts have hit hundreds of homes in York.
Two separate blackouts have been reported.
By far the biggest, affecting around 1,730 premises, was reported at 2.15pm today (Wednesday). It’s affecting the YO24, YO26 and YO41 postcodes.
Northern Powergrid say an unexpected problem with an electricity cable caused the outage. They expect power to be restored by 3.45pm.
Meanwhile 100 homes are without electricity in the YO30 postcode. The power went down at 10.31pm on Tuesday (4 June).
