A man was attacked in a pub toilet in one of two further violent incidents under investigation by York police.
The first victim was attacked between 9pm and 9.30pm on Saturday (April 29) in toilets in The Micklegate At 127 near Micklegate Bar.
“He sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital,” said a North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman.

In the second incident, officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed a group of men fighting on Castlegate a few hours later at around 1am on Sunday (April 30).
Officers believe the two incident are linked.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident and released while under investigation.
Officers want to hear from anyone who was in the pub at the time, or has any other information that could assist the investigation to contact them.

News of these incidents follows a day after police released information about a gang attack on Bank Holiday Monday, also in Castlegate.
That left two men unconscious with serious head injuries.
