A man was knocked unconcious and suffered a fractured skull in a city centre attack.
The victim was walking along Clifford Street with his brother at about 2.35am on Saturday 8 December.
The offender approached him and punched him in the head.
The victim fell to the floor and lost consciousness. He was transported via ambulance to York Hospital where he was treated and later discharged.
He sustained a skull fracture and a bleed on his brain.

Police have issued CCTV of three men they would like to speak to.
The offender is believed to have been with two other men and a woman before the assault occurred.
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish any witnesses and identifying the people seen in the CCTV images.”
