A man who was on the run from York police for four days has been charged with seven offences.
Mark Anthony Ainsley, 27, from York, was arrested in Harrogate on Monday, has been charged with seven offences and is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court today (May 23).
He has been charged with:
- Four attempted robberies
- One robbery
- Possessing a firearm
- Escape from lawful custody.
Ainsley was arrested following an extensive police search after escaping from the custody of police officers while on a hospital visit in the early hours of Thursday morning (May 18).
Two men and two women were also arrested in Harrogate on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been released while under investigation.
