Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an elderly woman had cash stolen from her as she queued in a York bank.
The woman was in Barclay’s Bank on Parliament Street between 2pm and 3pm on Thursday 21 March when the incident happened.
But it was only reported to the police a week later (28 March).
As the woman waited in the queue to pay her pension in, a man took part of the cash from her before running out of the bank.
He is described as white and approximately 5ft 10 to 5ft 11 tall.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could help identify the suspect to contact them.
