A man has been seriously injured in an attack on a York street.
At about 8.50pm on Friday (February 3), a man suffered a head injury in an assault in Landalewood Road in Rawcliffe.
The victim was taken to York Hospital for treatment. The area has been cordoned off to allow for forensic enquiries.
North Yorkshire Police are describing it as a “serious assault”. They are urgently appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to get in touch.
In particular, officers would like to speak to anyone who saw mopeds being ridden in the area around the time of the assault.
