Man punched by teenager at York city centre bus stop

A man was punched in what police are describing as an “unprovoked attack” in York.

It happened on St Leonards Place at around 11pm on Sunday, December 18. A man was punched by a teenager near the bus stop outside the Theatre Royal.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:

We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for any witnesses who might have been present at that time.

The suspect is…

a white man
about 17 to 18 years old
of thin build
6ft tall
clean shaven
with blond hair, spiky on top and shorter on the sides.

He was wearing

a full black Adidas tracksuit
with white stripes down the arms and legs.

The suspect was with two other men at the time.
