An outbreak of road rage saw a passenger leave his car and kick out at another, York police say.
They are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which took place on Layerthorpe at 12.50pm on Saturday (February 4).
Two men were travelling in a medium-sized, five-door grey car when the altercation happened. It involved a black Honda Civic, also driven by a man.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said:
We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident as it is believed there were other vehicles and pedestrians in the area at the time.
Officers are particularly keen on information about the grey car including the registration number and the identity of the passenger.
