A man needed surgery to his broken jaw after a gang attacked him and two other men in York.

The assault happened at about 1.30am on Sunday, September 25.

Police were called to a report of an incident on Hull Road, York, where three men had been assaulted by a group of men.

It happened between the Beeswing pub and the Esso garage. One of the victims suffered a fractured jaw which required surgery.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information about it, to contact them.
