Man in river in York sparks emergency response

Emergency crews were called out early today after a man entered the river in York.

The call came at 12.34am on Friday (4 October). Fire crews from York and Acomb responded to the incident at King’s Staith, along with an ambulance crew and York Rescue Boat volunteers.

On arrival the man was out of the water and in the care of the ambulance crew.
