A man was grabbed by the throat on a city centre street in broad daylight.
The assault happened on Gillygate at 1pm on Wednesday (27 November).
A North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, we are appealing for information about the man who carried out the assault.”
The perpetrator is described as
- – a man aged around 65 years old
- – between 5ft 9ins and 5ft 10ins tall
- – of thin build
- – wearing a blue a jacket
- – and carrying an umbrella.
