Kenneth Dunnington, 58, was initially charged with wounding following an assault in an alleyway near the Fulford Arms on Fulford Road, which took place at about 9.45pm Friday, February 19.

The victim, 45-year-old Benjamin James Traherne of Ordnance Lane, York, was taken to York Hospital after the attack. He died there on Monday, March 7.
