A man has died in a crash on a road outside York.
The accident happened at 11.35am on Sunday (August 14). A yellow MG Midget car was travelling on Intake Lane towards the village of Acaster Malbis when the driver lost control, left the road to the offside and collided with the hedgerow.
As a result of the collision the driver, a 35-year-old man from the Hovingham area, suffered fatal injuries.
No one else was in the car.
North Yorkshire Police are asking for anyone who saw the MG prior to the collision, or the collision itself, to get in touch.
