A man died after his car left the road and crashed into a ditch near York.
The 27-year-old local man was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, after his dark blue BMW came off Towthorpe Moor Lane and landed on its roof in a ditch at around 9.20pm on Sunday (March 29).
He was travelling towards Strensall from the A64 when the collision occurred. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The man’s family has been informed but police are not yet in a position to release his identity at this time.
The road was closed in both directions while an examination of the scene was conducted. It was reopened at around 2.20am on Monday (March 30).
