Police are investigating an attack on three 18 year-old men on a main York road.
It happened at about 1.30am on Wednesday 1 July.
The men were on their way home from Knavesmire when they were attacked by two males believed to be approximately 16-18 years-old.
The incident occurred directly opposite the Tadcaster Road entrance to Hob Moor. One of the 18 year-olds was sprayed with incapacitant spray and shot with a BB gun.
The gun was also used on one of the other 18 year-olds. Both men were left with bruises.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said:
Police are appealing for information which may lead to identifying the males responsible and are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
Anyone with information, CCTV or dash-cam footage that could assist the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
