One of the glories of York is to star on the big screen.
Kirkgate in Castle Museum is to be the backdrop to scenes in a new film.
It means the recreated Victorian street will be closed next Wednesday (22 January). As a result you can get half price admission to the museum on the day – the other galleries will stay open.
There’s no word yet as to what the movie is.
Scenes for Christmas romcom Let There Be Love have been shot in both Shambles and underneath Lendal Bridge in recent weeks.
Closure notice!
A major feature film will be using Kirkgate (the Victorian street) as a set on Wednesday 22 January. For this reason we will be offering half price admission. The rest of the galleries and rooms will be open for you to enjoy. We apologise for any inconvenience!
