Lots of charities are likely to be hit by the coronavirus shutdown.
One of them is York Rescue Boat. It announced tonight (Monday) that it was putting fundraising on hold “to focus exclusively on maintaining our search & rescue capabilities over the next few months”.
They are also postponing educational visits and workshops.
The charity said:
Our priority is to protect our volunteers, their families and the public.
Our team still remains fully operational and available to support the emergency services.
That could well hit their fundraising efforts. If you can help, donate here.
