Wednesday update: Four more coronavirus deaths in York NHS Trust

There were four more coronavirus-related deaths in the York NHS Trust today (Wednesday, 11 November).

And there were 54 more confirmed Covid-19 cases in York. This takes the cumulative total to 4,282 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,033.1 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days there have been 357 positive Covid-19 tests in York – which is down by 31 (-8.0%).

The rolling seven-day rate in York is 174.2 new cases per 100,000 people (367 cases in the week to 7 November). That’s down from 184.7 in the previous seven days (389 cases in the week to 31 October).

At the University of York, there were 65 individuals self isolating due to a positive Covid-19 test today. Since the previous update on Tuesday it has been notified of 8 new cases, included in that figure.

At York St John University, there were 21 people self isolating due to a positive test on Tuesday.

In North Yorkshire, there were 262 new confirmed Covid-19 cases today, taking the cumulative total to 10,686 – an infection rate of 1,729 cases per 100K.

There are 555 cases in Ryedale (up 14), 1,615 in Selby (up 29), 3,103 in Harrogate (up 64), 1,443 in Hambleton (up 23), 2,051 in Scarborough (up 88), 864 in Richmondshire (up 15) and 1,055 in Craven (up 29).

There were four more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.

That takes the total to 246. We don’t have an up-to-date breakdown of that figure between York and Scarborough Hospitals.
