Tuesday update: 58 new coronavirus cases in York
A further 58 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Tuesday, 3 November).
This takes the cumulative total to 3,882 – giving an overall infection rate of 1,843.1 cases per 100,000 people.
In the last seven days there have been 425 positive Covid-19 tests in York – which is down by 158 (-27.1%).
The provisional seven-day rate for York is 180.9 new cases per 100,000 people, as at 31 October.
At the University of York, there were 87 individuals self isolating due to a positive Covid-19 test today. Since the previous update on Monday it has been notified of 19 new cases, included in that figure.
At York St John University there were 21 people self isolating due to a positive test today.

In North Yorkshire, there were 193 new confirmed Covid-19 cases today, taking the cumulative total to 8,618 – an infection rate of 1,394.4 cases per 100K.
There are 462 cases in Ryedale (up ten), 1,352 in Selby (up 18), 2,550 in Harrogate (up 48), 1,196 in Hambleton (up 46), 1,423 in Scarborough (up 43), 723 in Richmondshire (up 14) and 912 in Craven (up 14).
There were no more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today.
That leaves the total at 234. We don’t have an up-to-date breakdown of that figure between York and Scarborough Hospitals.
