Sunday update: Another 54 coronavirus cases in York

One further coronavirus-related death was reported within the York NHS Trust today (Sunday, 8 November).

There were also another 54 Covid-19 cases confirmed in York.

This takes the cumulative total to 4,152 – giving an overall infection rate of 1,971.3 cases per 100,000 people.

In the last seven days there have been 382 positive Covid-19 tests in York – which is down by 74 (-16.2%).

The provisional seven-day rate for new Covid-19 cases in York is 171.88 per 100,000 people as at 7 November. The latest validated data, as at 2 November, is 184.7.

In North Yorkshire, there were 249 new confirmed Covid-19 cases today, taking the cumulative total to 9,901 – an infection rate of 1,602 cases per 100K.

There are 513 cases in Ryedale (up nine), 1,534 in Selby (up 24), 2,910 in Harrogate (up 75), 1,370 in Hambleton (up 36), 1,768 in Scarborough (up 76), 799 in Richmondshire (up 11) and 1,007 in Craven (up 18).

There was one more coronavirus-related death reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. We can’t confirm on the weekend whether it was at York or Scarborough Hospitals.

That takes the total at 240. We don’t have an up-to-date breakdown of that figure between York and Scarborough Hospitals.
