Saturday update: Three more coronavirus deaths in York NHS Trust

A further 31 coronavirus cases were confirmed in York today (Saturday, 21 November).

This takes the cumulative total to 5,412 – giving an overall infection rate of 2,569.6 cases per 100,000 people.

Due to the adjusted count methods, in the last seven days 959 positive Covid-19 tests have been added to the total in York – a rise of 604 (+170.1%).

The latest validated data shows a seven-day rolling rate of 173.3 new cases per 100,000 people in York, as at 15 November.

In North Yorkshire, there were 160 new coronavirus cases today, taking the cumulative total to 12,375 – an infection rate of 2,002.3 cases per 100K.

There are 661 cases in Ryedale (up 15), 1,938 in Selby (up 20), 3,381 in Harrogate (up 31), 1,598 in Hambleton (up 13), 2,672 in Scarborough (up 57), 909 in Richmondshire (up seven) and 1,216 in Craven (up 17).

There were three more coronavirus-related deaths reported by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust today. At weekends we can’t check whether they were at York or Scarborough Hospital.

That takes the total at 269.
