Three more big food brands are shutting down completely.

Nando’s and Costa Coffee had been continuing a takeaway service. But that is going too.

Nando’s has about 420 stores and employs 18,000. It has said they will shut until further notice.

Costa Coffee announced on Monday that it would temporarily close all cafes from this evening (Monday, 23 March).

The coffee chain said staff at closed stores will be paid their full average weekly pay over eight weeks.

Earlier McDonald’s announced all of its restaurants in the UK and Ireland will close by 7pm on Monday to protect the safety of its employees and customers.
