Much-loved York deli Henshelwoods to close from today

Suppliers of fine and fabulous things to eat for umpteen years, Henshelwoods Delicatessen will close this afternoon (Monday, 23 March).

It finishes at 2.30pm. Owners Ali and Kirk Vincent said on Twitter:

• As a multi-generational household it is the best thing for us to do at present. We do not make this decision lightly and apologise to city centre customers.

  If there is anything we can hold for collection by appointment later this week, please get in touch via DM or email [email protected]

  We may set up a designated collection or drop-off day, but have to think hard due to location. Thank you all for your support. All life will resume as normal eventually.
