York police are renewing their appeal for the public’s help to locate a wanted man from the city.
Scott Tuohey,37, of Bad Bargain Lane, is wanted for breaching a non-molestation order issued following domestic violence against his ex-partner.
Tuohey is described as being white, 5ft 8in tall, with a medium build and short blond hair.
Officers believe that Tuohey is still in York, however he also has links to Leeds and enquiries to locate him are being conducted in both areas.
Inspector Rob Thorpe, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Scott, you know that we are looking for you. It is in your own best interests to hand yourself in. We are not going to stop this search until you are in custody.
“Officers have made numerous visits to addresses to where Tuohey is believed to have links. These visits will continue until he is in our custody.
“Anyone who knows where Tuohey is, should not approach him. Rather, contact the police or Crimestoppers without delay.
Inspector Thorpe added: “I would like to take this opportunity to remind anyone who is shielding Tuohey that they may be committing offences themselves. If this is the case, we will arrest them and they face the prospect of prosecution.”
Anyone who sees Scott Tuohey or can help to locate him, is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 straight away, select option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room.
Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
