It’s 18 months since the devastating floods in York – but many people are still struggling with the after effects.
To help them, Citizens Advice York (CAY) is organising a series of flood residents meetings.
The CAY Flood Advice Service is one of the services funded by the York Disaster Fund, managed by Two Ridings Community Foundation.
A spokeswoman CAY said:
We are addressing a variety of issues at the meetings including help to manage insurance, the impact of the floods on health, how to protect your possessions and how to get involved with your local emergency plans.
The final meeting will be a celebratory event to recognise individual and community progress and sustainability after the floods.
The next meeting will be held at the Clementhorpe Community Centre, Lower Ebor Street on July 5 between 11am and 1pm.
