Four men have been arrested by police after driving into York with tools ‘used to steal’.
Officers intercepted two cars travelling in convoy yesterday morning (Tuesday).
“We suspected they were going to commit thefts from shops,” NYP Operational Support Unit said on Twitter.
They found the tools in the cars, which were both uninsured and seized by police.
In a separate incident, North Yorkshire Police control room reported erratic driving near York last night.
TC Mark Patterson tweeted: “Vehicle located and driver claims his own policy covers him to drive his Dad’s car. It didn’t. Vehicle seized & driver reported.”
