Shambles Market is holding an Easter party to celebrate its reopening – and we’re all invited.
Food, family fun and some surprises are promised for the Spring Into Shambles Market event running over the four days from Good Friday (April 3) to Easter Monday (April 6).

Children can take part in the bunny trail. Students at Blueberry Academy on Silver Street, which provides specialist support for adults with learning difficulties, have designed and made toy rabbits which will be hidden round the market.
Shambles regular Terry Magee will offer face painting, and you can also indulge in some pottery decoration with Fired Up.
Artist Lee Boxall, from IpsoFacto Art, will bring his VW Camper van to the market, complete with photo booth.

Local crafts people and entertainers will join the lively regular market.
The market’s new hot food court is officially opening as part of the festivities, including North African and Levantine street food courtesy of Los Moros.

And there’s plenty of treats to eat from the market itself. These include Easter-themed baked goodies from Tray Delicious and sweets from both Candy Hero and Waddaboo Candy.
And both York’s Chocolate Story and the York Chocolate Festival have stalls to add to the sugar high.
There’s plenty of fresh fruit and veg on sale too, to add some nutritional balance…
