Is there anything more enjoyable than a fish and chip supper?
Well, a glass of great beer perhaps. And the two came together in York this week.
York micro-brewery Ainsty Ales held the official launch of its new canned beer range at Scotts Fish and Chips.
The canned beers are called Ainsty Assassin, Cool Citra, Flummoxed Farmer and Killa Kiwi.
And they went down a treat at Scotts, located just off the A64 at Bilbrough Top.
Met the brewer
Those fortunate enough to be at the launch party were guided through the beers by head brewer Andy Capel, before tucking into a beer-battered fish and chip supper.
Scotts Fish and Chips owner Tony Webster said:

This was a fantastic evening and one that saw the restaurant packed to the rafters with customers looking forward to enjoying a wonderful combination of traditional ales and traditional British food.
It really was the perfect pairing.
And, because of its success, we are now looking at partnering with Ainsty Ales Brewery to host a series of beer and fish and chip nights, here at Scotts.
Ainsty Ales was launched in 2014 by Andy Herrington. The brewery gains is named after the old York & Ainsty District Wapentake, a medieval self-governing area dating back to the 1200s.
