A young adventurer had to be rescued by York firefighters today.
A crew were called out to help rescue a gosling from the first floor balcony from a flat in Garden Place at about 1pm.
Another gosling had already fallen from the balcony. Fortunately it survived the fall.
Firefighters used a 13.5m ladder to reach the balcony, placed the gosling in a bucket and returned him to the ground.
Both young birds were reunited with their parents.
