Police worked at a key York junction today (Wednesday) as part of an investigation into a fatal crash.

Pedestrian Eze Onyedikachi Young, 38, from Leeds, died after being in collision with a grey estate car on Station Road, close to Rougier Street.

An Uber vehicle is also in the cordon

It happened at 2.30am on Sunday, 9 February.

A major investigation is being carried out by police. Traffic officers and the forensic imaging unit were on site from 10am today.

Two scientific support vehicles were parked on the side of Rougier Street, alongside other police vehicles.

Also in the coned-off cordon was a grey Volkswagen Uber vehicle.

There were some delays on Rougier Street, Station Road and Lendal Bridge as the investigation took place.

It concluded at about 11.20am, when all road restrictions were lifted.
