The full extent of the devastation cause by Saturday’s fire can be seen in this remarkable video.

The drone footage, shot by York vlogger and content creator Adam of Summer Days Entertainment, shows the remains of the B&M store at Clifton Moor.

Still smoking from the intense blaze, there is little left aside from a brick wall shell. The entire roof has collapsed, and most of the rear storage yard has been reduced to ashes.

The video has now been watched more than 30,000 times on Facebook.

Seeing the scale of the destruction, we can be even more thankful that no one was hurt in the fire.

It also shows why ten fire crews were needed to battle the blaze – and the fine job they did in containing it with other buildings and the ring road so close by.
