The Chesterfield Band + Soulcasters, Hounds, Evie Barrand
Sun Jun 30 @ 7.30 pm£5
The Chesterfield Band come from Australia and are on their first international tour encompassing 5 countries. They play upbeat, catchy pop rock originals that lends itself to the likes of Amy Winehouse, John Mayer and Sarah Blasko.
2018 saw The Chesterfield Band hit the road in a big way. Travelling over 15,000km, playing over 100 shows, eating an absolutely ridiculous amount of bacon and egg rolls while meeting a heap of amazing people. Their debut single “Imagining Nothing At All” continues to be featured on Tiger Airway flights around Australia and their single ‘Home’ is receiving airplay on international radio stations.
The Chesterfield Band started in the kitchen with Tess and Cam writing and singing together. They decided to enter a competition for local songwriters. They won, and with the money they recorded and released their first single under the band name “My Dad & I”.
6 months and a whole heap of shows later the duo ran into an old friend of Cam’s, Dylan. He was performing in the same music festival with another band. In a spur of moment decision the guys invited Dylan to play drums on a song and that was that, they’d formed a band.
In support, we’ve got York blues rock sensations Soulcasters, with their classy blend of smooth blues and rock.
Also supporting, in their first ever gig, it’s The Hounds from Selby. There’s not a great deal online about this band, so you’ll just have to come down and check them out!
First up, it’s some sweet and soulful acoustic music from Evie Barrand.
