National Garden Scheme

Sun, September 13 @ 1.00 pm 5.00 pm

Each year we open the garden as part of the National Garden Scheme. Regular admission prices apply.

The National Garden Scheme is a registered charity which opens gardens of quality, character and interest to the public. Since 1927 they have raised funds to support nursing and caring charities, and over £25 million in the last 10 years.

Covid-19 Bookings
We are delighted that we will be opening as part of the National Garden Scheme this September. To conform with government guidelines and ensure the safety of our volunteers and visitors, you will need to pre-book tickets on the website. You will not be able to pre-book until a couple of week’s before and we will add the link here as soon as possible.

Where does the money go?
All entry fees and 10% of plant sales will be donated to the NGS. All money taken from refreshments on these days will be donated to St Helen’s Church, Stillingfleet.

What will you see?
In September many of the plants are in full bloom with the herbaceous borders looking stunning. Some of the leaves are just beginning to turn, so there will be an autumn tint. September is also a good time to see many of the butterflies, making the most of the late summer food sources. You will be able to wander through all the different parts of the garden and gain inspiration for your own garden. Many of the plants you will see are available to buy in our plant nursery and we can help you choose the right plant for your garden.

The tea room will be open too for drinks and cake. There will also be an art exhibition in the tea room and small locally sourced gifts for sale.
