Murton Park Easter Eggstravaganza
Sat Apr 20 @ 10.00 am - Mon Apr 22 @ 4.30 pm£6 – £7.50
We are going to celebrate the Easter weekend with a bang!
Quite literally as we welcome the Trailblazers Western Reenactment Group to stay with us all of the bank holiday weekend. They shall be taking over the Roman Fort and converting it into a Wild West town; this includes wagons, jail, saloon and even gunfights! It is one that is definitely not to be missed.
As well as welcoming the Wild West to our lovely part of Yorkshire we have the Wychwood Warriors re-enactment group from Oxford University living on the reconstructed Dark Age village as Vikings. You will be able to see how it was to live as Vikings over 1000 years ago. Our Vikings will be looking forward to meeting you and answer any questions you have. If you are an Anglo-Saxon spy you better keep that to yourself….
It is not all about history this weekend. The Easter Bunny himself will be here the whole bank holiday weekend. At times throughout the day he will be giving out chocolate eggs to children who have managed to follow the Easter trail and find all the missing Easter Eggs.
That is not all!! The Derwent Valley Light Railway will be running trains on Easter Sunday and Monday.
