Foreignfox, Meet Me By The River, How Buildings Fail
Sun Apr 14 @ 7.00 pm - 11.00 pm
April will see the triumphant return of Foreignfox to York!
Foreignfox are a 4 piece alt-rock outfit hailing from Dunfermline, Fife. Fuelling their emotive and cinematic instrumentation with an uncompromising commentary on the hopes and fears of the modern individual; they are an intense, passionate and utterly compelling live act.
Since the release of their debut single in 2014, the band have supported the likes of British Sea Power, Big Country and We Were Promised Jetpacks, headlined venues across the UK and performed at festivals including T in the Park, Kendal Calling and Electric Fields.
In 2017, the band released their sophomore EP ‘I Used To Be A Bellydancer’ via Scottish Fiction Records, and were included in Vic Galloway’s ’25 Scottish Artists to Watch’ before recording a live session for BBC Radio Scotland. With new material recorded at Post Electric Studio with Idlewild’s Rod Jones and a UK tour, Foreignfox are one of the artists you can’t afford to miss in 2019
Meet Me By The River are a new indie/rock outfit from York, who are opening their Fulford Arms account at this gig. Not a lot is known about them as they are very new, but their demos sound solid! Come down and check them out!
How Buildings Fail is the electro-drone noises of Simon Hickinbotham (aka Tightrope) and it will add a nice smooth start to the proceedings!
