Food for Thought at York Theatre Royal
Tue Apr 9 @ 7.45 pm - 9.30 pm
When you’re in the supermarket, do you ever think about the journey that the food has been on, to end up there?
Food for Thought is a show about food. It is an uncompromising look at our personal relationships with food, and the global industry which provides it.
From farmer to factory, land to laboratory and grower to grazer, we meet a host of characters that will prompt us to examine how the personal choices we make about the food we eat can have dramatic consequences on communities around the world.
With mouth-watering music and visuals, and a sprinkling of tangy humour this is a show for anyone who feels ready to think differently about the world we live in.
Show Run time Approx. 60 minutes. Pre Show activities: 30 mins (join us before the show for a creative response to the show made by local people from the Creating Together project). Post Show Discussion: 20 mins. Total event running time: 1hr 50mins
