The North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales are joining forces to create their fifth annual Dark Skies Festival which will celebrate the stunning night time skies around the local area.
Join local photographer Steven Bell at Castle Howard to learn how to shoot stunning night time images as part of the Dark Skies Festival 2020. Steve has worked with the BBC’s National History Unit creating specialist dark skies time lapse sequences along with being commissioned by the national parks for various assignments. Steve runs photography workshops across the UK and Europe and his dark skies workshops have all received fantastic feedback from attendees.
This night time photography workshop will begin at 7pm with an insightful talk followed by a tea/coffee break to digest everything you’ve learnt. The workshop will conclude with a 1.5 hour photography session in the grounds of Castle Howard. Recommended equipment: head torch, camera with wide angle lens, tripod and warm clothes.
