This never-seen-before drone video gives jaw-dropping views over York

It will make you see our city in a new light.

This amazing drone video was filmed at dawn 11 months ago by leading drone hire company Aerial Republic.

But it can now be made public after City of York Council granted them the necessary licences and sign-off.

After taking off near the abbey ruins in Museum Gardens, the drone camera soars over the city capturing amazing shots of the Minster and offering a birds-eye view of both the river and the bustling streets below.

Both Skeldergate Bridge and Ouse Bridge make the cut too – all shot in 4K video.

Aerial Republic, based in Wetherby specialises in aerial videography and photography. The company only works with licensed drone operators and has held contracts with the likes of the BBC, Jaguar, Red Bull Racing and Aldi since forming in 2014.
