Never Ever could we have predicted that one of Britain’s biggest girl groups would be heading our way.
But it was revealed today that All Saints will play York Racecourse at its Music Showcase meeting on Saturday, July 29.
All Saints – Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, Natalie and Nicole Appleton – were huge in the Nineties, with two multi-platinum albums and record sales in excess of 12 million worldwide.
Their debut album, creatively titled All Saints, went five-times platinum and produced three number-one singles – Never Ever, Under the Bridge/ Lady Marmalade and Bootie Call – which ended up selling over 1.2 million copies in the UK.
They broke up in 2001. All Saints’ second reunion produced the album Red Flag and they are back performing live.
Full line-up
The group completes the line-up for concerts at York Racecourse this summer.
Already Olly Murs has been confirmed for a brand new date for the York calendar, Saturday, July 1.
And on the first day of the Music Showcase weekend, Friday, July 28, Jess Glynne will perform on the Knavesmire stage, after an evening of racing.
York Racecourse head of marketing James Brennan said:
This year’s lineup offers performers who have been stars across two decades and promises to be a real treat.
Add in the spectacle of the racing itself and we hope these will prove summer days to savour.
