International superstar and Welsh demigod Sir Tom Jones stormed York on Friday night (July 24).
The legend performed live on the green, green grass of York Racecourse in front of an ecstatic crowd.
Recovered from the bug that had caused Sir Tom to cancel gigs in Germany and France earlier in the week, his epic Music Showcase set included classic hits Delilah, Sex Bomb, It’s Not Usual and Kiss as that voice echoed around the south of York.
At least 36,000 people were there, which would not only be a York Music Showcase record but the largest crowd for an evening race meeting in Britain.
