Re-enactors will bring the Yorkshire Air Museum to life this Saturday and Sunday, recreating the atmosphere of an operational wartime airbase. It is also a chance to see the museum’s unique Halifax Bomber, famously named “Friday the 13th” out of its hangar. More here

We’re in the middle of the Yorkshire Silent Film Festival, and this weekend it comes to York. There are two screenings at the National Centre For Early Music on Sunday. Tall Tales and Incredible Journeys is a collection of short fantasy films from the early days of cinema, followed by classic chiller The Lodger. More here.
