Disabled person spat at by York cyclist

York police are hunting a cyclist who spat at a disabled person.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information after the assault that occurred on the cycle path in Tang Hall between Fifth Avenue and James Street.

It happened at around 5pm on Monday, July 10. The victim, an individual using a white cane, was walking along the cycle path, heading east near the ambulance station.

Two unknown men cycled past the victim from the opposite direction and one man spat on the victim’s shoulder and arm.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any information, is asked to contact police – details below.
