A teenage cyclist was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle

The 15-year-old girl was cycling on Poppleton Road at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 5 when the accident happened.

She was hit by a vehicle at the junction with Lindsey Avenue.

The girl was left with injuries which are believed to be minor but did require hospital treatment.

Police are appealing for witnessses to the the accident to come forward. They are keen to trace the vehicle involved.

Anyone who has information which may assist with this investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police.
