Surprise is the ethos behind a new nationwide campaign devised by two York creative agencies who have collaborated to help reposition the Yorkshire Coast as a year-round destination.
When Your Creative Sauce, a full-service creative agency, was approached with the opportunity to develop creative for a new marketing campaign to tempt new audiences to the Yorkshire Coast they saw an opportunity to deliver something special. To do this they wanted to collaborate with PW Does… Marketing Consultancy, run by tourism and heritage marketing expert, Paul Whiting.
“We have a great, longstanding relationship with the team at Discover Yorkshire Coast –including delivering their annual holiday guide. So when were approached we saw the potential here to support them in creating a far-reaching campaign that would stand out from the crowd and deliver real value. To do this we knew we wanted to partner with Paul, with his experience in tourism strategy development, and this collaboration was going to deliver something Surprising!”
Commented James Wellock, Creative Director of Your Creative Sauce.
Indeed, the resulting campaign utilises all the key skillsets of both agencies that is already seeing positive results for the businesses across the Yorkshire Coast since launching a few weeks ago.
The Future is Collaboration
Interestingly, working together on the campaign has led the two agencies to partner on a host of other projects with more plans in place to work closer together in the future.
“Having the ability to work with specialists on projects adds real value for our clients and allow us all to deliver stronger work. We are looking forward to building stronger collaborations over the next year as the world opens up more and businesses are looking for new solutions to old problems.”
Added Alan Wellock, Managing Director of Your Creative Sauce.
This is a feeling shared by Paul from PW Does, who in the short time he has been running his marketing consultancy has partnered with a host of organisations, including developing a tourism marketing campaign with the North York Moors National Park.
