Food fight TV show Come Dine With Me is returning to York – and it’s looking for contestants.

Producers of the Channel 4 show is asking for anybody interested in taking part to get in touch.

So if you’re something of a cook, and are willing to put your food up to be judged by three strangers, the voiceover man Dave Lamb, and millions of viewers put yourself forward.

The winner takes home £1,000.

As the makers of Come Dine With Me put it, “Narrated by legendary voice over artist Dave Lamb, no cock-up goes unnoticed, and, when it comes to misplaced confidence, no-one gets let off the hook.”

Still keen? Then all you have to do is send your name, age, postcode and phone number to [email protected].

It won’t be the first time York has featured on the long-running show.

Back in 2012, veteran ghostwalker Trevor Rooney was among the contestants, hosting his ‘Fright Night’ themed evening in the Banana Warehouse.

And the winner of an episode screened in 2016 donated his £1,000 prize to St Leonard’s Hospice.
