The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor of York and the Civic Party are welcoming a group of visitors from Kenya to the Mansion House.
The Lord Mayor is welcoming 14 Kenyan Dancers as well as representatives from Walk Against Crime, part of the charity the Zuzi foundation to the Mansion House on Friday 9 August.
The Zuzi foundation is a small UK charity working in Kenya to help young people break the cycle of poverty through education and employment.
The group will visit the State Room of the Mansion House where the Civic Party will enjoy a performance from the dancers.
The Rt Hon the Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Julie Gunnell said: “I am delighted to welcome the Kenyan dancers to the Mansion House, where they will certainly bring vibrancy and fun to the day.
“The work that is done with the Walk Against Crime initiative is fantastic and I am looking forward to discussing the work that they do as well as watching the performance.”
