Three fires in York last night were started deliberately, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service believes.
Fire crews were called out to two small fires at St Nicholas Fields at 7.02pm yesterday (20 August).
They used beaters to extinguish the fires.
Later, at 8.37pm, York crews responded to a report of a small fire in a park at Tang Hall.
The fire was out when they arrived. In both cases “the cause was believed to be deliberate from children”.
