CCTV issued after Poppy Appeal theft in York

A Poppy Appeal box has been stolen from a York hotel – and police want to speak to this man about it.

Officers issued CCTV images of a man they want to identify following the theft of the collection box from the foyer of the Premier Inn on Blossom Street.

It was taken on the morning of Thursday, November 2, and contained an unknown amount of cash.

Officers are asking for the public’s help to identify the man shown in the images.

Anyone who has any information that could help to identify him or has any information about the theft is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
