A 12-year-old boy needed hospital treatment after an assault in York.
Police have issued CCTV of a man who may have vital information following the incident that happened in Acomb.
It took place near to the junction of Boroughbridge Road and Beckfield Lane between 3.20pm and 3.43pm on Wednesday 7 October.
The boy sustained a soft tissue injury to his ankle, which has been treated in hospital.
He is understandably shaken by what happened.
Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the person in the image as they believe they will have information that will help the investigation.
They said that they know the image is not the clearest but they are hoping someone may still be able to recognise him.
