Think you’re up to speed as a racing driver? Now you can find out, by testing your skills against British Superbike star Dan Linfoot at York Motorsports Village.
Dan has raced in the world championships and now competes in the British Superbike Championship for the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team.
His latest rival could be you – as York Motorsports Village challenge all comers to take him on round their Monks Cross circuit.
Dan, from Knaresborough, will trade two wheels for four in open Grand Prix race meetings, the first taking place on Saturday, February 1 and Saturday, March 1.
If you take on this racing professional and beat him, you’ll win British Superbike tickets.
Dan is looking forward to burning rubber round the refurbished York circuit. “Their new facilities are second-to-none and we share the same views in motorsports – they’re driven to be the best,” he said.
“I will be a regular at their venue, and look forward to a blossoming relationship that can benefit us both, from my racing and their motorsports village.”
General manager of YMSV Phil Hannington said he was thrilled to be linking with Dan for the 2014 superbike season. “Having spent a significant sum to make the overall facility an undoubted leader in its field, the endorsement from a true racing professional has been very well received.
“Dan is also very approachable, so we were delighted when he agreed to race in our upcoming open events on 1 February and 1 March. It’s not often you get the chance to race ‘head to head’ against a true professional to test your skill.”
